'To Thine Eyes be True' was drummed into me at uni during every lecture and every tutorial for years! Consequently even now with all the digital artistry that abounds I do not own filters to create in camera effects, nor spend hours playing with HDR, saturation, lighting effects or one click filter effects. I try to keep my post processing to the minimum, let nature and natural light work it's magic. I paint with the light I have at the moment I am out with my camera. I like to keep it as real as I can. Just me, and the way I work, don't get me wrong digital art is amazing, some of the results are very clever and really make an image pop I am in constant admiration for those that can use the magic of digital to really zing an image beyond reality. Just me and personal taste but I believe photography is capturing a moment in time, as it was the moment you clicked the shutter. Sometimes darkroom techniques are applied digitally to bring out the best of the light you had at that moment. But never to enhance beyond reality!

“There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment.”
— Robert Frank

Obviously black & white, monochrome, selenium and sepia effects have been manipulated into the original image to give the effect of shooting in black n white film.
