Lake Vyrnwy Dusk_1412 - Water

There is a place I love to be,
It casts a magic spell on me,
Here my mind can wander free:
My haven of tranquility.

Far down beneath its waters deep
A lost and lovely village sleeps,
Mere memories were theirs to keep:
Now o’er the lake see rainclouds weep.

Of those who come to see the view
How many know its secrets too?
How many love it deep and true,
As I know I will always do?

Poem written by Hilary Jane Jones for Briar Ridge Books landscape photographic poetry book "Shirelands" where my photography is featured alongside beautiful poetry written for each of the images produced in the book.
