Solstice Skies over Long Mynd_9974 - Shropshire
This Summer Solstice was also the night of a full moon. So with great expectations I traversed the long winding glider path road up to the windiest Long Mynd Ridge I have ever experienced.

No sign of the moon but some seriously stunning skies were about. Trying to keep the tripod from blowing over was not easy and how I managed to not be blown over my self was a bit of a miracle.

Hands didn't take long to start getting numb this evening that's for sure. I was only up here for about 30mins before I started having severe issues with finger numbness it was blisteringly cold. Summer Solstice mmmmm

Did finally manage to get my moon view though. On the way home about a mile from my place can you believe it. The law of Sod loves me. You can see the Solstice Super Moon Capture in the Night Gallery.
